With the days closing in on the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, one thing is pretty clear, that is, the upcoming General Elections are going to be extremely interesting. Trends are changing and so are the opinions of people regarding the NaMo wave. The popularity of the ruling National Democratic Alliance has dropped a little after a few drastic decisions. GST and Demonetization have especially had a deep impact on the general population of the country. People were still grieving about the side effects of the apparent noble act and then they were served with GST, the pet project of the NDA government.
GST basically combined all the various taxes that people had to pay into one single tax. There were various slabs set for various sectors. The benefits of this scheme, however, are not short-term and thus, the taxation scheme has so far had a rather negative impact on the people and somewhat on the economy as well.
Coming back to the 2019 Lok Sabha election, many think that the BJP will lose 2019 elections. This thought is not entirely false. As per some Lok Sabha MPs, things have been different in the parliament as well. But who is to be blamed for this? Apparently no one ourselves. The fact of the matter is that the Prime Minister is willing to do something different for this country.
Something that was missing from the previous leaders this nation has witnessed. As far as the Lok Sabha MPs list is concerned, many think that the majority of the seats will still be held by the Bharatiya Janata Party but the ratio might change when compared to the present case scenario.
The Lok Sabha elections this time around are being seen as a war between two of the country’s biggest political parties. Not that it was not the case in the earlier elections. But this time, the stakes are even higher. Believe it or not, but the government is doing a lot more than any government has ever done.
India’s foreign relations have never been better and the future prospects that India has right now in terms of industries, jobs, and human resource development. To be really honest, just by measuring the progress of a country after half the term, one cannot truly calculate the total ‘development’ that has taken place. It takes a considerable amount of time to completely change the various aspects of a country that have had already been set up by the previous ruling party.
Now people may think that the BJP will lose the 2019 elections, and that is completely fine. But the important thing is that the upcoming elections should be conducted in a more humane manner. Because the moment we lose our humanity, we have got nothing left. Our humanity is what separates us from the beasts.
In the end, we should aim at a plan that focuses on a rather sustained development and not on dirty politics.
