Is BJP Enough Prepared For next Lok Sabha Elections- An Analysis?

loksabha-election-2019

Though Election commission of India has not yet announced 2019 lok sabha elections, they definitely gave a hint that the next Lok Sabha elections will be held in September 2019.  According to insiders, the Election Commissioner of India Om Prakash Rawat recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and told him that ECI is ready to hold assembly elections in four States in 2019 alongside next Lok Sabha elections.

Rumblings have begun for the next general election in the country, political pundits in the county have started making 2019 Lok Sabha predictions.  While some experts believe it is a cakewalk for BJP, others say it will not be an easy one for the party.

In a blog published by Times of India recently, Political expert Sanjeev Singh writes that the frequent CBI raids on the RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav indicate towards the nervousness creeping into the BJP camp. It seems Prime Minister Narendra Modi is keeping eye on all key developments in the country.

How Important Are Assembly Elections In Bihar And UP?

Former Union Home Minister and senior Congress leader Chidambaram recently advocated for the greater internal autonomy to Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra who usually maintains silence on many issues not took even an hour to launch an attack on him for his remarks on Kashmir.

The Modi led BJP party understands it well that how important the States like Bihar, UP and Rajasthan are for the party to win the next Lok Sabha election. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, the party won 31 out of total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, but since then the atmosphere has changed a quiet bit.

In the assembly election, RJD and JDU defeated BJP by a big margin of seats. BJP even don’t come close to form an alliance in the state. So this time it will certainly not be a cakewalk for BJP this time for BJP in the state.

Upon it the decisions like GST and Demonetization can also backfire as the common man in India has struggled a lot after center took these two big steps. The traders in the country were yet to recover from the shock given by the Demonetization, Center came with Goods and Services Tax (GST) that give a more strong shock to the already shocked traders in the country.

On the other hand, Congress party is already in touch with Akhilesh Yadav in UP to bring BSP and Samajwadi party on one platform to form a stronger alliance for the 17th lok sabha election in the country. This is also one of the major reason why BJP party is feeling pressure before the next Lok Sabha elections, otherwise, most of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections predictions declare BJP as the favorites for the Next Lok Sabha elections in the country.
